Troop 774's program is designed to appeal to the 11-17 year old boy while meeting the 3 basic objectives of Boy Scouts, "building character, developing mental and moral fitness and encouraging participatory citizenship". Everything we do works towards one or more of these basic objectives. At the same time, everything we do is hands on and FUN. Kids do not want to be lectured or put in a classroom environment. Troop 774 closely follows the saying "Scouting is a game with a purpose".
We run a very traditional Boy Scout Troop that closely follows the tried and proven methods of Scouting and our leaders are trained and experienced. We also fully understand the responsibility to keep your son safe - physically, mentally and emotionally. Our leaders are parents too and have the very same concerns that you do.
